INDUSTRIAL FUEL COMBUSTION IMPROVERS
AFD-8062, Industrial Fuel Combustion Improver, is designed to be added a low concentrations to a variety of industrial fuels to significantly improve their combustion characteristics. Examples of specific applications include use in gas turbines operating on kerosene, which resulted in less smoke, reduced carbon and particulate emissions, and reduced maintenance costs.
In turbines operating on heavier fuels, such as gas oil, similar benefits were obtained. When used in steam generating units operating on heavy fuel oil, AFD-8062 reduced the formation of corrosive sulfur trioxide (SO3), improved stack plume appearance, improved overall efficiency by 3-7%, and resulted in modified deposits which were much easier to remove. Finally, evaluation in full scale seagoing marine trials resulted in fuel economy benefits ranging from 1.5 to 7.3%, a 40% reduction in soot blowing time, reduced fireside tube deposits, and reduced excess combustion air requirements.
AFD-8062 can be added to bulk storage tanks to treat large amounts of diesel fuel at once.
INDUSTRIAL DIESEL ADDITIVES
Diesel Detergents
AFD-6550 is a cost effective multi-purpose diesel detergent/inhibitor additive concentrate. It provides excellent injector detergency, combined with lubricity enhancement, and corrosion protection; removes and prevents deposits which can deteriorate fuel economy and emissions; and offers superior performance in the Cummins L-10 injector depositing test with a CRC rating < 10. Lubricity Improvers
AFD-6970 is a lubricity additive for use in low sulfur diesel which is non-metallic, non-acidic, phosphorus free, ashless and synthetic. It is compliant with 40CFR80.521.
INDUSTRIAL SMOKE SUPPRESSANTS
AFD-6730 is a unique multi-purpose diesel additive. It combines outstanding injector detergency and corrosion inhibition, with a marked improvement in particulate emissions and fuel economy as a result of its combustion catalyst. In addition to these features, it is formulated with a lubricity agent to protect against premature injector pump failure.
AFD-7062 comprises 62% by weight of methylcyclopentadienyl manganese tricarbonyl (MMT®), the well-known manganese based gasoline octane booster, dissolved in a hydrocarbon solvent. Besides its octane booster capabilities in gasoline, the additive is very effective in reducing smoke and particular emissions in diesel fuel.
AFD-6730 and AFD-7062 can be added to bulk storage tanks to treat large amounts of diesel fuel at once.
